Overview

Giorgis is the only son of the richest tseligas of a mountain village. Although he is considered a sought-after groom, he only has eyes for Droso, who reciprocates his feelings. The obstacle to their love is Giorgis' father. He is a cruel usurer who has confiscated the girl's fields. After a fight between father and son, the former falls dead. However, everyone believes that Droso killed him. Droso runs away from the village and takes refuge in the caves and cliffs, among the lads of the robber
