"The film itself was adapted from a classical Thai art form of drama called "Khon"which means Masked drama, considered by Thais as the most highly dramatic art form and certainly, representing a part of Thai Thai culture. However, the action in the film was sped up and faster than the original "khon" on the stage, including the content of the story.
