Overview

Twelve-year-old Hayley's parents are separated, but the girl still hopes they will reconcile. Her fantasy is evident in the contemporary video version of Cinderella she is directing with her friends. Hayley interferes with her parents' new relationships and runs away from home. When her parents find her, they realize how her resentment and anger could be lessened if they communicated. At the conclusion of the film, Hayley screens her modern-day fairy tale which reveals her newly-found acceptance
