Warning, Attack, Recovery 1983

Overview

Made as part of my degree show at Sheffield Polytechnic, this was originally presented as part of a performance piece involving a large number of monitors and a lengthy middle section in which I dropped water onto a hot iron (hence the black part of the video). The piece was constructed using old family Super8 footage, off-air TV material and some live footage shot in Sheffield. The soundtrack was constructed using some very basic monophonic synthesisers and a 4 track recorder on which I remixed
