Overview

In one of the villages, opponents of the Soviet regime - the bai, the mullah and the disguised enemy - the chairman of the collective farm - decide to use the Muslim holiday of Ramadan in order to disrupt work in the cotton fields of the collective farm, and some farmers succumb to the mullah's agitation - they hold fast and cannot work in the field.
