Overview

Based on Lamabam Kamal's short story of the same title, ‘Brojendragee Luhongba’ (Brojendra's Marriage) released in 1973 is the first film by a Manipuri director. It is about a doctor who under his parents' influence marries a girl but refuses to look at her face. It reflects the mode of marriage prevalent in the Manipuri society during his days.
