The Wandsworth Sound 1970
Overview
1970 documentary on the Wandsworth Comprehensive School boys' choir. Unique in that the boys were not taken into the school as singers, but took choir as an extra-curricular activity. Music director Russell Burgess taught, inspired and moulded the boys to create a unique choral sound which became known as the 'Wandsworth Sound'.
