Literary, epic, and dramatic content emerges from kaleidoscopic visual impressions and formal interplay, i.e., through references between images. Even the characters remain in the background and do not play a "leading role." The film's underlying theme: serene landscapes, a shadow passing through the image, fear and paralysis.
