Overview

The protagonist of the story is Rysiek, who, after serving a prison sentence in the Nysa Penitentiary, returns to his hometown with the intention of starting a new life. He wants to run the farm taken over from his deceased parents and win back his ex-girlfriend, Agata, who, in his absence, married his older brother, Jarek.
