The Garden of Celibidache 1997

Overview

Roumanian born conductor, Sergiu Celibidache (1912-1996) refused to record any of his performances. This documentary tries to provide some insight into the character of this man, allowing the viewer to come to their own conclusion about whether the man was a megalomanic or guru. Music includes: Mozart quartet in D minor (K, 421); symphony in C major, 'Jupiter' (K, 551); requiem in D minor (K, 626). Also, Haydn symphony no. 92 in G major 'Oxford', Beethoven quartet in D major, op. 18, no. 3; Schu
