Overview

Berlin Kreuzberg: Veit Bischoff keeps his head above water with a dry-cleaning business and reluctantly looks after his mentally disturbed mother on the side. His dreary everyday life is only brightened up a little by his flirtation with the cashier from the betting shop opposite. In an environment where violence, drugs and crooked deals are the order of the day, Veit dreams of emigrating to Australia.
